- Let's face it "Daddy" stories can get a little uncomfortable- going from being a child and grownup to sex with said grownup- and I don't usually like books with huge age differences- like twice the other's age- Cormac was thirty nine to Nina's eighteen, but in this book the age difference was explainable and the sex talk handled in such a mature way, that they only used it for their sexual kink purposes, and not full time 24/7. The conflict that was wrapped up quickly with a neat bow, was nice that it didn't drag out the story, but was a little too neat. I expected Nina to disappear into the system at the end and need rescuing again with nasty Urlich involved and in charge. I have to admit, that I could- and did- put this down and read something else in the middle, but it wasn't hard to pick up where I left off. Yay! Wish there was more background details on Nina. Did she have any family? I can't remember, but for her to disappear like she did I guess not. Maybe I'll try another one of the Blackhorn books. H-m-m-m.....
- I've had the pleasure of reading all the Blackthorn Mountian Men books. This one wasn't my cup of tea. I know it's just a made up story, but having a young women of 18 going from being a virgin, to having sexual relations up to 4 or 5 times in a single night, on the night she lost her virginity no less. And then continues to have sex multiple time for several day after wards including anal, with out any issues. It's just not believable in my opinion. That being said, I think Mrs Faye is a talented author and knows how to write a very sexy, steamy, hard core book. This is just my opinion, don't let my review stop you from reading this book.

- This is the ninth book in this series however they all can be read as standalones. The whole Daddy thing isn’t for me. So, I wasn’t as crazy for this one as I was the other books in this series. Nina is young and has seen something she shouldn’t have. Cormac is meant to protect her but once he saw her, he knew it would be so much more. One thing I like about this series is the guys on the mountain are always there for each other. I love getting to read about them a little more with each book. Cormac and Nina have a big age gap between them but it doesn’t seem to bother either one. It didn’t matter to me either. They had a hot and steamy romance and an instant connection. Madison has done it again. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Fanciful -- the author makes things happen as she wants them to, realism be darned.
Flimsy -- no depth to plot, back stories, or the boring details of real life.
Fun -- hot sex and crazy humor abound.
Bad guy #1 is a thug. Bad guy #2 is a cop. Together, they do evil things and make tons of money. After our heroine witnesses BG#1 committing a heinous crime, our hero rescues her from certain death and spirits her away to safety at his mountain hideaway. What follows is insta-love, insta-lust, and a few cursory nods to D/s, DD, and age play. When BG #2 finds the happy couple, he arrests our H, tortures him, and drags him into court, where our h is expected to yell, "He kidnapped me!" Instead, she produces hard evidence compiled by our H to prove that BGs #1 and #2 are in cahoots, guilty of unspeakable acts, and trying to frame our H. Then, immediate HEA.
The way things happen is totally unbelievable, but it's all fast-paced, sexy, and entertaining enough to make readers let go of reality and enjoy hanging on for the ride.
Cat H - A fantastic story, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their story. Murder, FBI, witness protection, a secluded mountain cabin, a hot young virgin, a protective older very hot man, lots of sex, romance, a few twists and turns, some intrigue, what more could you want in a great book. This is one book you won't want to miss.
- I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of Her savage mountain daddy by Madison Faye. This book was off the charts hot. I couldn't get enough. The story has the perfect alpha male and the women he loves. I was hooked from the very start and couldn't put it down. This is a definite must read that would be a shame to miss out on.
- I love the Blackthorn Mountain Men series and I believe the books in the series just keep getting better and better. Nina witnesses an execution and is scared out of her mind and when Cormac comes to “kidnap†her she is freaked out. From the first picture he saw of Nina, Cormac was infatuated and knew he had to protect her make her his. This is a hot and steamy older man younger woman novella and I can’t wait for more from this author!
